چکیده
VOL. 77-B. No. 5. SEPTEMBER 995 long leg brace. Radiographs at 18 months (Fig. lb) confirmed sound union of the tibia. Discussion. Healey et al ( 1990) used percutaneous bonemarrow grafting for delayed union or nonunion after extensive en-bloc resections and reconstructions of primary sarcomas of bone and reported good results. We have used this technique experimentally in rabbits (Sharma et al 1992) and found increased callus production, with early healing of radial osteotomies and bony defects. The technique has also been used as a substitute for open cancellous bone grafting for nonunion; approximately 90% success was reported by Connolly et al (199 1) and Garg, Gaur and Sharma (1993). We believe our case to be the first of its type to be reported. The result was encouraging but the type of suitable patient, and the timing, volume and frequency of bonemarrow injections required will need further studies.

Acute sacrococcygeal dislocation (anterior type): a case report.
Sacrococcygeal dislocation is a rare injury. A twenty nine year old male presented to us with pain over the lowest part of spine of 5 days duration. He fell down on stairs with his buttock landing directly over the edge of the stairs. On examination, a step was felt in the continuity of sacrum and coccyx. The tip of the coccyx was not palpable. Per rectal examination revealed a small bump on ru...

This is a report on simultaneous dislocation of the left shoulder and elbow resulting in a 16 years old boy. Bipolar dislocation of Luxatio Erecta and posterior dislocation of the elbow is extremely rare. After clinical examinations (attention to pain, swelling, and deformity of the shoulder and elbow joints and neurovascular examinations), the necessary radiography was performed for the patien...

AbsractAll perilunate fracture-dislocations combine bone avulsions, ligament disruptionand fractures in different forms. The most frequent pattern is the dorsal transscaphoidperilunate fracture-dislocation. The reported risk of missed initial diagnosisin perilunate dislocations is as high as 20%. Concerning pathomechanics of theperilunate fracture-dislocation, it should be noted that most dorsa...
متن کاملComplicated Congenital Dislocation of the Knee: A Case Report
Congenital dislocation of the knee (CDK) is a rare disorder. We report the case of a 7-year-old girl with bilateral knee stiffness, marked anterior bowing of both legs, and inability to walk without aid. Radiologic investigation revealed bilateral knee joint dislocation accompanied by severe anterior bowing of both tibia proximally and posterior bowing of both femur distally, demonstrating ...
متن کاملPosterior Hip Fracture -Dislocation Associated with Ipsilateral Intertrochantric Fracture; a Rare Case Report
Hip dislocation occurs when the femur does not break and the force is transmitted towards the hip joint leading to a posterior dislocation of the femoral head with or without posterior acetabular fracture. We present the case of a 26 year old patient involved in motor vehicle accident. Clinical and imaging (radiography, CT) examination revealed an intertrochanteric fracture associated with ipsi...

An extremely rare case of floating second metatarsal is reported. The reported case is a young man with simultaneous dislocation of tarsometatarsal and metatarsophalangeal joints of the second metatars following a car accident. Because of patient's discontent for open surgery, blind percutaneus pinning was performed that was not completely successful and in follow up radiography, 18 months late...
